SEWING
Some of you have been asking me what I have been sewing lately. Well...I have been under the weather this past week and haven't sewed a thing. The week before last however, I had great fun making 2 very cute flower pincushions, from whipup.net. I gave one away and the other one has been claimed by Tirzah. Josiah thought he should get something too and asked me to make him a stuffed animal. I found a free pattern for "Pointy Kitty" from Wee Wonderful's blog. Josiah choose the fabric...would you believe he chose green polar fleece. This is one cool cat! It is not quite done...still needs some stripes and some eyes and a nose. Tirzah is looking forward to learning to sew herself and we are going to ask Grampa if he will build her a nice little (wooden) sewing box! Grampa just had surgery on his shoulder (repairing a torn rotary cuff) so it isn't going to happen anytime soon. Right now, he is feeling quite a lot of pain. But we are praying for Grampa that he heals quickly.
