Wow!
Many years ago (17 to be exact) two young lovers were on their honeymoon. Dreaming of their life together they chose names for their "children to be". The girls name chosen was discovered while reading the Song of Solomon; it's meaning: pleasure, delight and beauty. The name: Tirzah.

Four years past in the newlyweds life and the lovely 9.5 pound baby Tirzah was born. What pleasure, delight and beauty she has brought into all our lives!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 13th Birthday Tirzah!!!!

Blues and whites and golds seen around these parts...

I think that God is the best artist and has the most wonderful colour palette ever!!

The 1st "serious" snow fall came upon us last evening. This morning the snow is sparkling with the Blue Sky equally as beautiful, behind it.

The gold and blue Christmas decorations are eye candy to me and I enjoy them both on our Christmas tree and scattered here and there decoration the corners of our home.

Cookies

I treated my self to a quiet walk downtown to G.T. Boutique (tee-hee) to shop for the kid's stocking stuffers when I spotted a little bag of coloured chocolate chips.

If you like shortbread or buttery cookies and chocolate too, then these cookies are for you. What a sweet buttery treat! Recipe for Double Chocolate Chip cookies found here.

It's been a long time since I pulled out the good camera and had some fun with it. *sigh* Made for a happy day...

Pumpkin Glory

I took this picture several weeks ago while we were at a local apple orchard. They had pumpkins everwhere, both to decorate the place and to sell.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I am very thankful. Top 5 things that I am thankful for:

  • my 2 new nephews
  • joy has returned to my heart (long story...with a happy ending)
  • healthy childen (Tirzah often has many struggles with her health in the Fall, but this year she has been doing exceptionally well).
  • my marriage (I adore my man)
  • my parents living in the same City (some of you know that my parents were overseas with Missions for 10 LONG years. Thanksgiving was actually the Holiday that I missed them most. We are happy to be able to share the day with them on Thanksgiving Monday.

Happy Autumn

I am enjoying the crispness of Fall, leaves just starting to change colours, and the children having a  predictable schedule.

(Shaun took this photo in Montreal at a City Market several years ago.)

Our Girl and her Grampa

I think the cutest thing about this picture is the grin on my Father's face. He is just so tickled that he had the idea to hold up this puny little fish next to Tirzah's 3 pound Pikerel.  It cracks me up!!

Picnik

I have been having fun playing around with some free photo editing (free)at a site called picnik. I like this feature called: collage. ~The pretty Cosmos are from our garden. They are so easy to grow: you just buy the seeds and plant them directly in the soil when it warms up. This is the 1st Summer that I have grown the white ones and I quite like them.

Beach Day

We had a family day on Monday. Started the day out with a breckfast out, went to the beach for the day and took the kids to see our first ever 3D movie ~Ice Age 3.

The weather was sunshine, wind and cooler temps but we still enjoyed our day. I don't remember ever seeing the water such a tourquois colour as it was that day. Stunning!

Tirzah was the only one that was brave enough to swim in the waves. She had fun for a few minutes and then changed into warm and dry clothes. We all enjoyed a hike up and down the large sand dunes.

At the enterance of the beach, Shaun took a picure...notice the wild grape vines on the lower left of the picture. Beautiful!
