Blues and whites and golds seen around these parts...

I think that God is the best artist and has the most wonderful colour palette ever!!

The 1st "serious" snow fall came upon us last evening. This morning the snow is sparkling with the Blue Sky equally as beautiful, behind it.

The gold and blue Christmas decorations are eye candy to me and I enjoy them both on our Christmas tree and scattered here and there decoration the corners of our home.

Simple Pleasures

There is just something beautiful about the spontaneous swirl of cream in my coffee mug ...I love it when art just "happens". Makes my life rich.

A Gift

My daughter came home with this "treasure" for me a few weeks ago. She placed this tiny wild grape vine into my hand. "I got this for you mommy. It took me a long time to get it. I knew that you would think that it was beautiful. I think it is too." ~Tirzah, you were right.

Buttons and my life

Who knew taking pictures of buttons could be so fun?! I would still be outside taking more pictures...but the camera battery is too low. Ha!

Meanwhile, I have been nursing a puffy eye...it hurts! Seems to be getting better though so am hoping to avoid a trip to the Dr. Tirzah is seeing the Dr. this evening as she has been having chest pains. Hopefully, it's nothing, but we wanted to get it checked out. (Update on Tirzah. She is OK. She has pulled muscles on her breast bone and rib cage from her hard coughing...she will get better on her puffers and some pain killer.)

We took a bike ride to Josiah's new school this afternoon. He found out who his teacher is and saw his class list. He got the teacher that he wanted and the kid's that he was praying would be in his class are. Yeah! I love the answered prayers of my kids! Tomorrow, we will bike to Tirzah's school and find out all the details. Seems like Summer is winding down...hard to believe that one week from tomorrow the kids will be back in School. How quiet that first day will be. It will be bitter sweet.

Crab Apples

We had a lovely walk today and found these tiny, bright, cheery treasures laying all over the road. I brought home a handful so Shaun and I have a photo shoot with them. I think that some of these photos will be going on cards for stationary and we will be selling them at our Etsy shop.

SIMPLE PLEASURES

I need to set limits for myself when it comes to buying seeds and plants for my garden. I have all ready reached my "max" and will not let myself spend anymore.

At the end of last season I bought some daisies that were marked way down. I was disappointed not to see them come back up this year. I did start some "Crazy Daisies", by seed this winter (indoors, growing on my living room window sill). However they are growing very slowly and I don't think that I will see blooms this Summer. I have thought several times how nice it would be to have daisies in my garden and believe it or not, my husband has also brought that up and we have talked about where we would put them in the garden.

This afternoon I went out to mow the lawn...the grass wasn't too bad, but we have some weeds in the front lawn that were up quite high. About a quarter of the way of my lawn mowing I came across a large patch of daisies! They had been there all along but had never had the chance to grow tall enough for us to notice. A few daisies were actually blooming! I have successfully transplanted all the daisies into our flower garden and I think that they will be lovely.

Thanks for the Daisies Lord!

Simple Pleasures....

I have been trying to go through our garage and clean up so we can actually walk through it with out stubbing a toe or something even worse! I am pretty sure I have enough junk...er....stuff, to have quite a successful garage sake this Spring. I was happily interrupted by my friend Sarah. She gave me a big bag of clothes! Many of them fit (yes, I tried them on as soon as she left) and I like them too. I feel blessed! So if you see me skipping by you will know why....

Matthew 6:28-33
And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you?

"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'

"For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
