It's Thursday...time to join Farm Fresh for It's a Real Life! This weeks theme is Momentous Occasions. It's been fun searching through older photo albums looking for the pictures to post this week.

I am going to mention 5 Momentous Occasions. The 1st one occurred when I was 18 years old. I had graduated from High School and went away to YWAM (Youth with a Mission). This school was an academy of preforming arts. Half of our team preformed (acting and dance) Toy Maker and Son and went to Russia. The other half of the team formed a dance and singing team called Royal Priesthood and went to Guyana. I was on that team (and sang lower soprano). We spent 6 weeks in South America, singing at different Churchs and even at a larger Symposium. We also did various mercy type missions (painting, building, etc). It was such an amazing experience!! (In the pic. below I am the 5th girl in from the left...yes, the one with the big hair, down to my shoulders!)
7 Months after I returned home, Shaun proposed to me and we announced our engagment! We borrowed my Dad's camera and his tri-pod and took a whole roll of pictures of the two of us. This one has always been our favorite. We are up on a sandune at one of our favorite beaches (in Prince Edward Island, Canada).

Another 7 months (slowly!) passed and we got married!!!!
2 years later our baby boy was born! 2 years later his sister joined us! All my life my dream was to be a mommy and then later my dream was also to be married. I feel very blessed and I am thankful!

There are other Momentous Occasions like, Shaun graduating from College as a mature student, how I recovered from a Ectopic Pregnancy, my parents returning to Canada after being away for 10 years, meeting Sid and Cheryl and being mentored by them for 5 years, and even growing closer to God each day. I like my life. It isn't perfect...but it's mine and I like sharing it with Shaun, Josiah and Tirzah! ;o)

I am a day late with this but...better late then NEVER! Today's real life is all about "where the magic happens"-the bedroom!

This is my dresser. On it are a few pics some decorations and a jewelery box, that my dad made and gave me for Christmas many years ago.

This is Shaun's dresser with a pic of me on it and a candle too. We got our bedroom furniture set in PEI (Canada) at an Auction. We were engaged and just months away from our wedding when we got it. Exciting times!!

The bed. Not a good picture but...well at least you get to see that the bed isn't made and we have blue sheets on this week. Oh, there is also clean folded laundry on it AND a little girl having a rest!

The view out of the bedroom window.

Night stand...lamp, clock and a candle. Oh and some earrings!

What's under the bed? Well...nothing. We broke the bed last time we moved the furniture around (seriously!) so the box spring and mattress are right on the floor. We actually are liking it that low to the ground and are thinking about getting a platform style bed. I will show you what is under Shaun's dresser instead: my shoes and 1 slipper (that my mom knit)!

What I like about our bedroom.
I love the furniture and the bedding.

What I don't like about our bedroom.
It seems dark to me. I would like to paint the ceiling white ( right now,it is light green, like the walls).

Thursdays are now: IT'S REAL LIFE, thanks to a blogger named Jessica.
Here is Jessica's explanation of how to do this!

To participate you simply to take pictures at any given time of some things around your house. The catch is you can't primp, prink or otherwise prepare the area to make it seem better than it is.

Now I know some of you wouldn't have to do that anyway--but that is why it's called "It's Real Life."

Here's your list:
  • curb appeal (yep, a picture of your home from the outside)
  • junk drawer
  • from whence you blog
  • favorite jewelry
  • your best feature
Ok! So here I go:

Curb appeal

The end of July will mark 2 years of living in this little house in the heart of our lovely City.

Junk Drawer

(or in my case, Junk Basket)
Contents: tooth picks, deck of cards, book mark, library card, matches, tweezers, pen , pencil, pin cushion with pins!

From Whence I Blog

I HAD an emac but now have this older model (long story)! But, everything is working great so I am NOT complaining! The little blue bottle is hand cream that Shaun and the kids got me for mothers day. They found a seller at the Farmers Market that makes lotions and soaps. I really love the cream and I think it has helped my nails grow.

Favorite Jewelry

My wedding rings. They are about 15 years old now. I got to choose them and I still remember how much fun it was to show Shaun the rings that I liked!!

My Best Feature

I decided to go with my eyes. But then looking at this pic, I think that I like my freckles!! lol
