Gratitude Saturday (got postponed to Monday)!
-I am thankful that both Shaun and I have parents that are living and relatively healthy. The kid's have the blessing of knowing ALL their Grandparents. My Grandmother is also living, so the kid's have a Great Grammy.
-I am thankful that my kid's are able to eat until they are full. I was reading my friend Tonya's blog (we were roomies at Youth With a Mission, many years ago). Tonya has passion for social justice and has been working in the Congo. So many hurting people, especially woman and children. Our kid's are so blessed to have everything they need.
-for laughter...it is good medicine for the soul. There is nothing like a good belly laugh! Do you remember when your babies laughed their first really big laugh? I remember Josiah's 1st laugh...his daddy tickled his chin and out of this tiny baby, comes this big belly laugh....it got us laughing. It was so amazing to me that I cried tears of joy. ---I plan on laughing more this year and sharing laughter with others!

Holly,
I am so blessed to read that you choose to treasure and honor your parents. Both Kevin and I have been without our Dads' for over 10 years. Ryan is the only one of our children to remember our Dads'. It grieves my heart when I hear people dishonoring or taking their parents for granted. When Mom calls at a busy time, I try to set aside what I'm doing to honor her and just chat. I'm not perfect in the area of honoring but am asking the Holy Spirit to be my reminder and invite His correction.
If you want to laugh more - read my blog from yesterday.
Keep on writting, I enjoy the read!
Shari
