Swatch Portraits

Someday I will have my dream house. One of the things this house will have is an art/sewing/creative room. I think I found the perfect way to decorate one of the walls. Take a look at The Purl Bee's Bog to see more Swatch Portraits. What a unique way to enjoy your favorite fabric!

This is neat. I can picture using this idea as an alternative to painting polka dots on a child's bedroom wall. By choosing a couple of different solid coloured fabrics and varying the frame sizes a cool effect could be created. Hey...you could even do this idea with a child's handprint in each frame. Lots of possibilities.

I will never have a sewing room....but I'd be more than willing to let you use yours!!!

I hope you get a sewing room some day soon.
My grandma Redner had a big one off her kitchen. You gotta have a separate room, so you can leave all the mess out and just shut the door.

Hope it comes sooner than you think!

Mom would sew on the dining room table....the only problem was needles would end up all over the floor. It really hurts to get one of those suckers in your foot!

A seperate sewing room is a good idea!

I remember stepping on those 'suckers' many times. I'm with Shari and Cheryl. You need a seperate sewing room.
