Today, I am finally going to be able to go to the Art Exhibit and see Shaun's painting...his 1st time being in a show. We were so excited that it got through the screening process, mildly disappointed when it didn't win an award. Now, we have to wait to see if it sells (I think Shaun wants to start a "motorcycle fund")! When----Tues.-Friday 4:00-8:00 May 1st-May17th. Saturdays noon to 4:00.
Location--- in the Ritchie Room at Maxwell College, next to Capers Brasserie & Wine Bar (on Front Street, same side of the street that Giant Tiger is on).
There will be entries from potters, weavers, glassblowers, quilters, painters, photographers, woodworkers, carvers, sculptors, jewellers, metal workers, textile artists, folk artists, and mixed media artists.

I was driving down that way last week and trying to remember the dates.
I am going to work out a hubby date...I didn't know so many other art forms were being shown...I LOVE glass blowing...so cool.

It was really neat to go see the art, yesterday. Wow...a real range in the art and the prices too...From $350. to over $3000. That was really surprising! I thought that Shaun's painting looked great and I would have liked it, even if I didn't know he was the one that had created it! lol There was ballots to fill out, for "people's choice" award. So Josiah and I voted for Shaun's. Tirzah voted for a painting of 2 dogs...the cute factor must have trumped "Daddy's pears"!!!
