Well, he did it! Josiah went on his 1st ever weekend away with the Youth at our Church. That is him, second to the left (wearing an orange jacket), in the picture below.
It has taken a few days for us to hear much about the weekend as he was pretty sleep deprived. Apparently, he had about 4 hours of sleep, both Friday and Saturday night. What silly boys they are, but to them it was totally worth it!! Josiah slept for 13 hours his first night home and then 11 hours last night. So, I guess he is making up for it.
We are really blessed with AMAZING Children's and Teen Ministries at our Church. Here are some of the activities that they kids got to do at the Retreat:
~Amazing Race events
~Deal or no Deal on the big screen
~Guitar Hero
~no curfew!!!!
~VERY good food (Josiah loved it!)
I am sure there are things that I am leaving out, but remember I am "just the mom", wasn't actually there and am basing this post on the reports of my 13 year old! Oh yes. One more thing: Josiah won a pound of Chocolate. Yum!

Oh yes, I have had some of the chocolate...Josiah loves to share (lucky me!, so we have all been enjoying it. Should be gone in a few days!

I am not surprised Josiah slept so much afterwards. He was so full of life all weekend and I am so glad to read that the kids had a good weekend.I am looking forward to next year.
