SNOW DAY
All the schools are closed for the day. I am sure this has been a record setting Winter for snow and freezing rain. The kids have missed quite a bit of school due to messy weather...
Here it is...almost 10:00 and both kids and I are still in our P.J's the dishwasher is the only thing that is working, swishing away while we relax. Too bad Daddy can walk to work!!! I wonder if he will be the only one in the office today?
Speaking of Shaun's new job....He LOVES IT!!! He has been at the new Design Studio for about 2 months and he is busy, busy, busy! His portfolio is growing fatter and he is so enjoying each day! We are so very thankful for this amazing blessing from the Lord that seemed to come out of nowhere and just bless our socks off!!
The kids get Friday off school (teachers have meetings) and then it is their March Break next week. We are all looking forward to seeing Auntie Patty and cousin Mark...they arrive on Friday and are staying with my parents for 2 weeks. Planning lots of fun stuff, including an early surprise Birthday Party for Mark (he turns 6 in April). Anyone have some creative ideas for making a little boys Party extra special?

Sounds like great plans for March break. If the birthday boy is anything like my son the party 'food' will rate high priority!
Wow, sounds like its been really yucky weather. Can't say as I miss that part of Ontario.
So happy for Shaun in his job!
Your march break starts earlier than ours. Ours doesn't start until March 17th.. and they have 2 weeks off. I am planning on taking a few days off work.. so looking forward to the break!
Hope it gets warm soon!
I have a recipe for a "dirt" cake. Great for little boys who like bugs and worms and all those gross things.
Let me know if you are interested and I can "dig it up" for you.
I have always loved snow days - as a kid and now as a parent.
Amanda and Derek did the shoveling here with Kevin away.
