Here in Canada it is Tax time. One of the benefits of being a stay at home mom and a "tither" at our local Church is getting a little bit of spending money back from the Government. We always look forward to this bonus and I make a list of what I want to do with the money. Often it is spent on bills and home repairs.
So lets have fun dreaming...Lets say you were to get LOTS of unexpected $$$$....what would you spend it on? This would be the list of my top 10:
1. Pay off all debt.
2. minor house improvements.
3. Orthodontist work for our kids.
4. Trip for Shaun and I to celebrate our 15th wedding anniv (in April).
5.Fresh flowers, weekly.
6.Share some of the money with a family that needs it.
7.Buy Shaun a motorcycle.
8.Get the kids a Wii.
9. Get myself a Nikon D80 Camera
10.New clothes for the whole family

If it was massive:
Mine would have:
giving some away
pay off debt
a trip for our 25th
a bike for my babe
if loads.... orthodontist for me.
My list could be almost like yours, give or take a few....
In our house, I usually have to pay at tax time (???--figure that one out) and Mike (who pays an ABSURD amount of taxes) gets a little back... hmm...
I like that camera too!!....someday!!
We get NONE back and hope to pay as little as possible each year.
My list....
I have SOOOO much I want to do:
I would love to have enough money to pay off some mortgages for hard working, unsuspecting people.
I want to be able to pay for a frantic woman's groceries when she realizes at the checkout that she doesn't have enough money(been there....so humiliating)
I want to have a house big enough to give all my kids their own rooms and still have a spare to entertain company with....also a massive kitchen to enjoy the entertaining from.
Family vacations would be awesome....and my big dream:

I love this idea. And let me just air my feelings right now about the gov't not giving stay at home mom's a tax break because they feel we contribute nothing to the economy: GRRRRRR!
We usually invest our income tax returns. We always treat it like money we never had to spend to begin with so we always invest it. But, to join you on your little daydream, I would be extremely lavish and:
Get the whole spa treatment
Take my hubby and I away somewhere tropical
Take the family to go killer whale watching in BC
Buy my Mom something over the top
Fresh flowers weekly (so neccessary!)
Bless some friends with a crazy good meal at a way over priced restaurant
And, yes, more clothes for the family and shoes as well

I would buy a bigger house to fit my growing-so-fast family and a housekeeper to keep it clean for me! That way I could spend all my time with the kids, instead of trying to stay on top of the piles of laundry that never seem to go away. I like this game!
