Pastor Rosa
I have a good friend who is always sending me these great "mini preach" devotion type emails that she writes about once a week. Here is the one that I got today. Enjoy! (By the way, Rosa isn't really a Pastor, but I think that she should be!)
Wait:
to stay in place in expectation of
to look forward expectantly; to hold back expectantly
to be ready and available
**************************************************************
Patiently:
bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint
not hasty or impetuous
steadfast despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity
*************************************************************************************
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.
--Psalm 27:14, NLT
*************************************************************************************
I don't know about you - but sometimes I would like things to happen in a instant . . .No waiting, No wondering, No questions, No struggle or No pain. I think it and it is done :o) ahah Yah NOT reality. I have learned that my plans - ideas - thoughts - time frame, do not always line up with those of Gods. (my fault not His) AND - inspite of my profound wisdom and ability, that many times I just need to wait and be patient for the Lord to do what He has promised and to continue to trust Him when there are still shadows.
And those shadows (doubts, questions, worry, unknown) have NO bearing on What God is going to do. Or what God is able to do. Or on what He has already done and destined for us. Its been completed - we just have to walk through. And to continually remind ourselves that God has our best interest at heart. Actually, He wants more for us then you can even imagine.
Instead of shouting "WHAT Is GOING IN GOD" we need to make the decision to wait patiently - Trusting in our God who has NEVER let us down!! Who Has Always Been There - Has No Plans to Leave.
And for that reason alone - we need to say " Lord, I thank You - because even though I don't - You Do"
