Where did this week go?
This week has flown by. The kids both had Track and Field Day at their Schools. Josiah did well in the Triple Jump and Tirzah did well in the Long distance run (1500 meter).
I spent quite a bit of time with a friend that is going through some terrible heart ache. I have decided Garden Centers and Greenhouses are helpful to distract the mind. Flowers are a great thing to focus on and seem to bring many of us joy even in the midst of suffering. Good ol' Flower Power!!!
Another friend of mine is really getting into gardening and it is fun to see her enjoying this new journey. We were talking yesterday about how it is hard to be patient. You plant your 1st garden and in the beginning it looks sparse -a little on the bare side. But....in the weeks to come the plants grow and stretch out, they bloom and before you know it things are lush and green and colorful.
All this gardening and talk about flowers makes me miss Cheryl; my garden mentor and my friend that now lives out West. Thanks for all that you taught me Cheryl!!
It is a long weekend coming up! My husband is getting off work early today (I hope) and we are getting ready for a BBQ tomorrow. Friends from out of Town are coming to visit and we are looking forward to re-connecting with them. We also have a few outdoor projects to get done and I look forward to doing them with my husband. Maybe even the kids will help?
Happy long weekend!!

Sounds like we have similar things planned ... a BBQ, a few more house projects and some out of town friends coming!

Have a wonderful and safe weekend.
Enjoy BBQ-ing
Congratulations to the kids on their track and field.
There was at least 4 prayer requests at JH for wins successes and just to do wells at JH last night.
1 down three to go.
You have had a busy week!
Bless you and all the flowers!!!
Michael was excited about track as well, he placed second in high jump, which he was hoping to do so he could go to the next level.
