Christmas is coming...
Life is getting BUSY.
I have had 5 clients this year that I have been making Christmas Goodies for. In total I have made 40 dozen treats! I am not real excited about baking anymore...but I do still have a few more dozen to bake this week. I will be relieved to get finished. Then the last 2 weeks before Christmas (and Shaun's Birthday) will be more relaxed.
Our Christmas shopping is pretty much finished as well. I got an early start this year so that hasn't really been a challenge. I have really enjoyed it and no stress (as the stores were not busy).
Shaun is turning 39 this Christmas. When I was a kid I remember imagining what it would be like to be a teenager and then later wondering what it would be like to be in my 20's. But I NEVER dreamed about being in my 30's let alone 40's!!! Well, the years have flown by...how can we be that old?? Hahaha!!!

When Brittany was a baby I did some baking for a local diner. I did chocolate cake, carrot cake, butter tarts and pies. I've always loved baking, but when I was doing it so much it started to lose it's joy. I was baking in the hot summer in a house without air conditioning.
Nice that you're about finished your shopping - I'm still having quite a time getting mine done.

Yeah, it 's a tricky situation, we are told to try making money at something we love to do....then you do it so much, it becomes work and not so enjoyable ...Then you have to find something new to love, Of course, if you then try making money at it....well, it's simply a vicious circle!!!
Way to go on the shopping...I still have a lot to do, but thankfully the lists are very short this year and nothing unusual or that I can't get locally on them!
I don't bake for others.... but this business of cleaning toilets certainly isn't very glamorous!
