IBS Diagnosis

Well, I am happy to say that I am cancer free and I do not have Colitis. What I do have though, is IBS. I have recently seen a Registered Dietician and they have put me on a strict Diet called FODMAP.

I have been following the diet for 4 days and I feel GOOD! I had a hic up today. I am "allowed" to eat Oats but after eating "steel cut oats" I had considerable stomach pain for 5-6 hours afterward. No more of those for me!!

I meet with the RD in 2 weeks to talk about how things are going and possibly will be able to start eating some of the foods that I am fasting right now (ie. beans and lentils).

We started bringing over a bit of furniture to the new house!

Our new (to us) coffee table is a repurposed Grist Mill Wheel. I love this character piece!

 This isn't new but I love the Hutch (that Dad built for us). We will be repurposing the old screen and making it into a black board. :) Can't wait to do come chalk art. 

New House Adventures

These pictures were taken on my Cell Phone so forgive the poor quality. We SOLD our house and are moving to my parents old place. :) We are so excited!

It is painted an orangy brown colour (walls and ceilings). We are in the midst of painting the ceiling (white) and will do the walls (there are not many) a dark Gray. Our accent colours will be brought in with Decor. Either red or a bright apple green (or both). 

Our son the Actor

Our son is acting in a Play called: And Then There Was None. This October. Excited to see him acting again! :)

Pretty Lilly

Dear Husband picked this out in the Spring and we planted it at our new house (we hope to move there if this old house ever sells)!!! It started blooming last week and we are so enjoying it's pretty blooms. 

We had an Open House today and have also reduced our selling price so hopefully the house will sell soon and we can move! :) 

Bad mood!

We have had our house for sale for 48 days and counting. 

Feeling frustrated!! 

Posting a few pics of what is in bloom. Cupid's Dart. I am proud of this one cause I planted it by seed one year, in a little peat pot, in the house on the living room window sill. It has wintered in the garden well for the past 3 years and is quite a nice size plant now (I had clumped 3 plants close together). It is interesting that the blooms close up each evening and open up in the early morning.

House for Sale!
